According to this announcement, compulsory product certification is mandatory for power adapters/chargers for terminal products. What is CCC certification?

What happens if a product is not CCC certified?

From 1 August 2024, products which have not been certified with CCC certification will not be allowed for either sale, import, or use in other business activities. The list of designated certification bodies and laboratories for newly included products will be announced separately.

When does CCC certification start?

From 1 August 2023 , the designated certification body will begin the CCC certification for newly included products, and perform the application based on the applicable standards listed in the "Compulsory Product Certification Implementation Rules for Information Technology Equipment" and the appendix.

When will CQC formally implement CCC certification?

From 1st August, 2023, CQC will formally implement CCC certification for products newly included in the CCC catalogue according to the "Announcement of the State Administration of Market Regulation on the Mandatory Product Certification Management of Lithium-Ion Batteries and Other Products" (No.10,2023).

Who can carry out CCC certification activities?

Certification bodies and test laboratories authorized and accredited by the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People’s Republic of China (CNCA) can carry out CCC certification activities.
